Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Document Drafter. In this role, you will be responsible for drafting various loan documents, conducting title investigations, providing legal opinions, and coordinating with clients and financial institutions.
Responsibilities:
- Drafting loan documents such as Facility Agreement, Mortgage Deed, Deed of Hypothecation, Guarantee Documents, Deed of Assignment, Indemnity Bond, and other legal documents.
- – Conducting Title Investigation Search Reports for Banks and Non-Banking Financial Institutions, including verification of property types such as Freehold, Leasehold, and Gaothan Land.
- – Providing Legal Opinion and Search Reports for Banks and NBFCs regarding properties such as Flats, Lands, Plots, and APFs.
- – Scrutinizing and vetting various legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- – Coordinating with clients, Banks, and Financial Institutions to ensure smooth document processing and legal audits.
- – Visiting Banks and NBFCs for the vetting of legal documents and conducting legal audits.
- – Advising private banks on corporate matters, consortium, and external commercial borrowings documentation.
- – Providing legal opinion to banking institutions regarding security creation for syndicated bank loans, external commercial borrowings, and RBI compliances.
- – Drafting and reviewing loan-related agreements and conducting legal review of executed loan documents, including deed of mortgage, deed of hypothecation, memorandum of deposit of title deeds, personal and corporate guarantees.
- – Assisting and advising clients in matters of project and infrastructure financing.
- – Assisting foreign banks in taking security in India and ensuring RBI compliances.
- – Preparing legal opinions on various banking law-related matters.
- – Conducting due diligence of properties for lease and sale transactions.
- – Conducting title searches of properties for security creation by banks.
- – Negotiating terms of lease/leave license agreements.
- – Drafting letter of intents, lease agreements, and leave license agreements.
- – Assisting clients in calculating stamp duty and registration fees and registering agreements at the sub-registrar office.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or related field.
- – Proven experience in drafting loan documents and conducting title investigations.
- – Strong knowledge of banking laws, regulations, and RBI compliances.
- – Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex legal documents.
- – Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- – Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- – Proficient in MS Office and legal research tools.
- – Willingness to travel to Banks and NBFCs for document vetting and legal audits.
