Sales Manager – Mumbai, India – Your future position? (EXTERNAL)

We are looking for a Sales Manager in our Fragrance & Beauty Sales team in South Asia to provide more intimate support for our existing and expanding customer base in India.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced sales professional who can be an excellent addition to our creative and teamwork culture and preferably having a knowledge of and network in the local and regional fragrance business.

You will be based in our Mumbai office in India and report to the National Sales Head for Fragmented Markets. In this individual contributor role you will develop business plans targeting Fragrance Customers, provide them with game changing solutions and develop a network of Dealers throughout the country to promote small packs.

You will work for a company that touches billions of consumers more than a hundred times a day. In this exciting role, you will:

  • Develop our business: you will develop a thorough understanding of the market. You will manage, grow and defend existing Givaudan business in consumer product segments. You will set up/review/monitor account plans, sales forecasts and budgets. You will follow KPIs versus targets (sales, gross profit, win rate…) and take corrective actions, if needed.
  • Bring your passion: you will establish and cultivate strong relationships with internal and external key decision makers. You will attract new business by identifying and creating mutual opportunities and building a successful project pipeline, ensuring the most efficient usage of Givaudan’s global resources.
  • Position our products: you will monitor fragrance trends, competitive activity and product developments. You will identify and articulate value drivers for the customer and will promote Givaudan’s value proposition by strategically positioning Givaudan products.
  • Lead projects and customer briefs: Together with your team you will manage customer briefs as well as proactive innovation and development projects. Using your project management skills and ability to motivate and drive others you will be the center point ensuring overall success.
  • Build and maintain winning relationships with key decision makers at this important corporate client positioning Givaudan as preferred supplier

Your professional profile includes:

  • 8-10 Years experience in channel sales. Fragrance industry experience is preferred.
  • Managing a pan India sales team.
  • Working with CAs and appoint dealers based on annual targets which will then cascade into monthly and weekly targets for sales team
  • Working on reports managing the targets, stocks and pricing models
  • Pre Experience in designing incentive plans.
  • Experience in inventory management – FIFO/Expired stock/Stock Management
  • Experience in managing a sales team – Reports/Daily visit plan.
  • Must have good presentation skills.
  • Will be responsible for Organizing promotional events and participation in the trade fares within the set budgets
  • Working with internal teams to work on feedback of fragrances and work towards building the next generation path breaking products
  • Working on accessing the market potential of each region and understanding and tracking the competition activities
  • Work on sampling of new or best sellers for promotional activities and ensure visibility of them through proper channelization
